At this time the following class is being offered to beginners:


BASIC WOODTURNING COURSE OUTLINE

•  Log selection; planning and cutting the log to get the best bowl blanks

•  Preparing the bowl blank

• Tool use and sharpening

• Mounting the bowl blank  on the lathe – Chuck, Live Center or Face Plate

• Cutting techniques

•  Shaping the outside and inside of the bowl

•  Finishing the rough-turned piece

•  Drying techniques

•  Finishing Techniques

Workshop Cost:  $125.00 per day

Workshop includes: Tools, Safety Glasses, Bowl Blanks and lunch is provided
